October 31, 2018 - 20:54

TEHRAN – The history of handwoven Persian carpets and rugs will be reviewed in an educational workshop to be held at the Carpet Museum of Iran from November 5 to December 31.

Participants will also be familiar with the treasure trove of carpets being kept at the museum and be earned certificates of participation, CHTN reported.

Covering an area of 3,400 square meters, the museum is located on the northwest of Laleh Park in the heart of Tehran.

Persian carpets are sought after internationally for their delicate designs and high quality. Official figures show handmade carpets have a significant share in Iran’s non-oil exports.
